The hunt is on for the single tool that can stop a legendary, blood-thirsty vampire before he awakens and selects his next innocent victim.

You are all brave and intrepid vampire hunters, long on the trail of one, Antoine Devillier. You have tracked him to his secret lair and infiltrated it, but unfortunately Devillier is a very powerful vampire and only one weapon can defeat him: the stake of Van Helsing. Devillier has obtained that stake and hidden it somewhere in his manor. Can you gain access to Devillier’s crypt, locate the stake, and end his reign of terror before sundown?
After discovering his secluded estate, the task at hand seems deceptively simple – find the relic and slay the monster instead of becoming his next target. But things are never quite as easy as they seem. With scarcely one hour remaining until dusk, the oppressive weight of the passing minutes profoundly intensifies the atmosphere. Infiltrators are thrust into a high-stakes race against time, forced to untangle a dense web of ancient ancestry and safeguards prior to the sun completely dipping below the horizon, signaling the moment the nocturnal predator rouses to prowl.
This unfolding dark fantasy successfully bridges the gap between story and scenery, plunging slayers into a thoroughly cohesive universe. The looming threat creates an organic layer of immersion, transforming standard puzzle-solving into a desperate battle against a supernatural clock. By treating each hunter not just as an observer, but as a crucial participant thrust directly into Devillier’s lair, the room masterfully absorbs all into its eerie environment and never lets go.

The ominous search begins in a dimly lit chamber that is heavily reminiscent of a forgotten Victorian style parlor. Blood-spattered photographs clutter one of the walls, contributing to the haunting, macabre feel of the foreboding manor. A time-worn sofa is positioned directly under a large unsettling portrait that seems to be watching every move. A heavy chest and an antique bookshelf are perched on the opposite side of the space, while a circular wooden table occupies the center of the carpeted floor, concealed beneath a striking crimson tablecloth that hides secrets of its own. An old fireplace with peeling, blistered paint rests silently beside a locked door leading into the inner sanctum.
The transition into Devillier’s crypt instantly shifts the urgency of the quest, replacing the parlor’s fading elegance with the cold, suffocating dread of an underground tomb. To the left, the villain lies in a deathlike slumber inside an ornate coffin, passively awaiting the final rays of sunset to release him into the night. The adjacent wall harbors clues tied to mysterious ancestral bloodlines. To the right, splintered crates are balanced in stacks on the ground. Stepping into this murky, shadow-drenched vault, the heavy textures, ashen hues, and claustrophobic dimensions combine to establish the gothic setting.

The Vampire Hunters offers immersive challenges that are well aligned to the dark context. Rather than relying exclusively on standard padlocks and keys, the room also engages investigators with thematic, hands-on tasks that are grounded in historical lore. These clever puzzles require careful attention to detail and can be thoroughly enjoyed by both seasoned veterans and beginners.
The game flows smoothly, offering a satisfying mix of searching, logic, and physical manipulation. Furthermore, the progression is nonlinear, meaning the contingent can comfortably split up to tackle multiple clues simultaneously.

Clue Carré has created an appropriately somber and sinister adventure that seamlessly immerses hopeful vampire slayers into the realm of Van Helsing. From the intricate set design to the narrative-driven interactions, The Vampire Hunters maintains a gripping tension that will indulge both horror fans and escape room aficionados alike. Ultimately, it is this blend of atmospheric storytelling and urgent gameplay that elevates the endeavor into a truly unforgettable hunt.
This compelling pacing builds toward a closing act where every second counts and the pressure to survive becomes absolute. The finale delivers an immensely gratifying payoff, culminating in a high-energy climax that highlights which member of the cohort truly earns the title of champion hunter. Clue Carré ensures that the definitive blow against Devillier requires a thrilling, interactive feat worthy of a true gothic thriller hero. Overall, it’s a bloody good time—provided one can keep their head (and their neck) before the clock runs out and the master of the chateau claims his prize.
