Y’all ready for some REAL cookin’? Crack open a cold one, grab some grub, and dig in! This cookout ain’t gonna eat itself! Yee-haw!

Can you uncover the secret before Bubba’s return, or will the scent of failure fill the air? The success of the backyard barbeque hangs in the balance. Get ready for a smokin’ adventure that will leave you hungry for more!
It’s Bubba’s turn to host the big country cookout, but he’s run out of his secret ingredient for his special chili! While he’s out rounding it up, er… I mean getting some more, we’re free to hang out in the backyard with some beer and relax until he gets back.
Bubba lives a simple life, one where he fills his time with raising chickens and watching car racing. While not extravagant, he sure knows how to throw one crazy party!

Bubba’s humble abode is the main focus. A garden shed sits opposite of Bubba’s trailer, while his house corners in his backyard into a cozy nook, perfect for grilling and relaxing.
Strands of Christmas lights lend a cheery air, even though it’s very much summertime, given the flowers that Mrs. Bubba has used to spruce up the shed. Bubba clearly has a penchant for inexpensive beers, as the remnants of several cases’ worth are laying around the grounds.
He also seems to enjoy using spare automotive parts as decoration, with a hubcap collage gleaming on the wall, and tires of various sizes strewn amongst the rusty picnic table and chairs. His trailer contains a “multipurpose washing facility” (aka a combo bathroom/shower/laundry) of… questionable cleanliness, but clearly it suits both Bubba and Mrs. Bubba’s lifestyle.

The puzzles are a solid mix of technological levels. They’re presented in a way that keeps the storyline linear, but can be worked on in somewhat different orders, with some requiring multiple people working together for the solution.
Some challenges trigger special effects to occur, furthering the silliness that is to be found in abundance. One such riddle actually gives literal meaning to the phrase “toilet humor.” It is refreshing to see that there is not a strong reliance on combo locks, but that there are a multitude of differing objectives and solving methods. Some are visual, some are auditory, and some even demand physical activity.
Wordplay and comedy are big components of many of the tasks. We frequently found ourselves genuinely laughing as each new feature was uncovered. Even though Bubba isn’t physically present at his shindig, his voice helps us navigate the shenanigans- despite the fact that he can sometimes be more puzzled than a headless chicken.

Bubba’s Backyard Bar-B-Que and Brouhaha is a rollicking good time. it is silly and irreverent, and does not take itself seriously. This game has the perfect balance of humor and heart, and is sure to make even the most stringent of vegetarians have a craving for some of Bubba’s chili.
The theme of the game is totally unique, and we have not seen one so incredibly off-beat and non-traditional anywhere else. This is a truly singular experience that certainly left us hungry for more.
