Trick or Tr(EA)t for Halloween on Escape Authority!

No, not that one (vampires only.)

Halloween and Escape Authority have always gone hand-in-hand. It’s absolutely no secret that Escape Authority’s Team has a passion for this season of spooks – in fact it was while looking for new and unique haunted attractions to visit on a trip to Los Angeles in 2014 that we would encounter our very first traditional escape games, completely by chance!

Two years later Escape Authority would launch, immediately bringing with it a hybrid blended focus of both escape games and haunted attractions completely befitting our own origin story. Each season since, we’ve dedicated our coverage throughout the months of September and October to all things Halloween, beginning with a complete site overlay from top to bottom, and our brand new pumpkin slimed version of EA’s 10th Anniversary logo!

It’s also no secret that as genres, escape games and haunted attractions do tend to share a deep bond of their own. There are so many parallels between the two industries, and as time goes by, they become more and more unified in their offerings. Many seasonal haunts are expanding to offer permanent escape games on site to become year-round destinations. Many escape games are evolving to offer the level of scenic detail and storytelling found in the very best haunted attractions.

To celebrate the season of Tricks and Tr(EA)ts, each new post from now until All Hallow’s Eve will spotlight something spooky, scary, horror themed – or all of the above!

And perhaps most exciting of all, we also add to our continued escape game coverage a return to our expanded focus of haunted attraction reviews, spotlighting the very best events across the country. But there’s much more lurking in the shadows to die for! Each Thursday, we’ll continue our tradition of #EAthrowback content bringing back to life the chilling memories of some of the very best horror escape games we’ve seen. Sundays are no time for rest, as we introduce a brand new temporary feature, #EArehaunted, where we dig up the bones of some of our favorite haunted attraction reviews from terrors long lost for a most frightful post-mortem.

Of course, there’s always room for a few new screams! This year, our spooky themed coverage extends to our monthly EA FreePlay! contests, each of which will feature YOUR chance to win VIP-caliber experiences from some of the biggest names in horror attractions.
